Our server was really good, and the food came out amazing. My dad got the Chicken Fried Steak which didn't have much flavor and was really tough to chew. But, his mashed potatoes and gravy were really good. Mom had the chicken strips with homemade chips and toast. I had the crispy chicken salad which was huge. Scott went with the Kitchens club with homemade chips which was also huge. The historic hardware section was closed off during out visit, but we've seen it in the past and it's a fun travel through time. Neat place to visit for sure when you are in the area. There's outdoor seating available for better weather days.

Cozy atmosphere and outdoor seating is an option. Historic hardware store section interesting plus. Coffee tastes strange and asked for crispy hashbrown but got mush.

Service was good the food was ok, we had omelettes that were supposed to have cheese in them, You couldn't tell it had any cheese at all. The bloody Mary was tasty and the spice was very tame. The coffee was fresh . Restrooms were clean

Great fresh made food. Steak cooked to.order. fabulous breakfast as well. Very helpful wait staff. I could eat every meal there.

My boyfriend and I came in yesterday morning at around 10:35 or so and didn’t leave until 12. It was busy, so we expected a little bit of a wait. We waited an hour for our food and his food was hot, but mine was cold. There were tons of people around us without any food, and a lot of them complained (pretty loudly). A table of 4-6 came in after us, and got their meals before us because they threatened to leave. I felt really bad for the servers at this restaurant because it was obviously stressful and the wait most likely had nothing to do with them. This place is unkempt, unorganized and needs a bit of work… and the tablecloths very desperately need to be replaced.

Best part of the meal was the homemade mac and cheese. Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Yes, I requested the gravy due to a lactose intolerance. Burnt coating on the steak, way over cooked. Gravy, no color or flavor. Just overall disappointment. The staff was wonderful and the place has potential.

THIS is one of those places that make me wanna move JUST to have as a place to eat at every day. 😍 SUCH a cool, friendly, historic spot. Such kind and friendly folks. Sweet tea, on point. Biscuits, amazing. Gravy, tasty. Everything we ate was simply awesome and like it came from granny’s kitchen.

First Timer Here, Expected more but Less than impressed! Ordered a philly steak & cheese sandwich, Said it came with fresh peppers and onions, peppers where canned peppers... gross. Ask 3 times for my side and never got it! Wife had a Ruben, Meat was spoiled, wife went without being able to send back food, given we never seen the waitress again till she brought the bill. When my wife finally got to tell the waitress to remove the Ruben due to meat was spoiled, the waitress responded that they had been having spoiled meat issues for some time!😮 Won't be back again!
